Starting care with us is simple. Before your first visit, we’ll email you intake forms for chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, or functional medicine. Complete them at home, or arrive 20 minutes early to finish paperwork in our office.
We offer a new patient chiropractic consultation: a chance to meet Dr. Mike Trabbold, discuss your health concerns, and see if we’re the right fit. During this visit, you’ll receive a case history and examination, and in most cases, your first adjustment that same day.
What to Expect During Your Chiropractic Visits
Your first chiropractic appointment usually takes about 30 minutes. Dr. Trabbold will listen to your concerns, perform a detailed exam, and typically begin care right away. On your second visit (your report of findings), you’ll spend about 20 minutes reviewing what was discovered, discussing short-term relief and long-term wellness goals, and going over the financial side of your care plan. This two-visit approach helps you clearly understand what’s happening and what to expect.
Your Acupuncture Experience
If you’re considering acupuncture, your first visit is longer, about an hour and 20 minutes, including your initial treatment. Lia Laterza will get to know you and your health history, perform assessments such as tongue and pulse evaluations, and conduct an orthopedic exam that includes posture, range of motion, and muscle testing. In most cases, you’ll receive acupuncture that same day.
Many patients understandably are nervous about needles, but acupuncture is generally relaxing. You may feel a brief tingle when the needles are placed, but that fades quickly. Lia uses an evidence-based approach, explaining how the needles stimulate your nerves and brain to trigger natural healing and reduce discomfort.
